I’m a researcher in Theoretical and Computational Biology in the group of Gašper Tkačik at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA). I obtained my PhD with Ivan Erill at UMBC (Baltimore, US). Previously I studied biology (and some mathematics) at the University of Milan (Italy). I’m a math enthusiast and an amateur jazz piano player.
I use information theory to study molecular evolution. My research focuses on the evolution of information in DNA sequences that code for transcriptional regulatory networks.
